Tuesday: 5pm – 9pm – General shed session & Introduction to Blacksmithing classes (bookings required)
Wednesday: 8am – 12pm – Woodturning focus session
Thursday: 9am – 1pm – General shed session
Sunday: 9am – 1pm – General shed session
Holiday Break Notice
The Shed is currently on break for the holiday period from 11 December 2025 through to 11 January 2026.
We will return on Sunday 11 January with a working bee to prepare the Shed for reopening. Regular sessions will resume following this date.

The Merri Community Shed (MerriCS) is a place where members can come together to work on projects, socialise and support one another. We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can come together to learn new skills, share their knowledge and experience, and connect with others who share similar interests. Whether you’re a seasoned DIY enthusiast or looking to try something new, our shed has something for everyone.
Our shed is for everyone. Our membership requirements do not have any specifics about gender, cultural background, age, level of ability, or anything else that might prevent anyone from contributing as a member.
Chopping Board Revival Service
Bring your chopping board(s) to the shed for an old to new revival service.
We’ll sand out the knife marks perform small repairs and then oil your board in food grade oil to extend its life for years to come. If your board is beyond repair, we’ll happily make you a new one.

At Merri Community Shed, we believe that every tool and piece of equipment can make a difference in helping our community learn, create, and connect. We are always seeking gently used tools and equipment to support our workshops and community projects.
