Markets Not‑for‑Profits Program
Merri Community Shed exists to support the mental health and wellbeing of our community. We find that partnering with organisations that have trusted connections with local people is the best way to do this. Our markets are a great place for NFP organisations to have a friendly, low‑barrier space to meet residents where they are—having conversations, sharing services, and opening the door to support.
At each market we reserve up to three free community spots for eligible not‑for‑profits. If selected, you’ll receive a free site plus a complimentary marquee and one table—ideal for awareness‑raising, referrals and sign‑ups, light fundraising, or showcasing programs. It’s a simple, practical way to help your team reach more people in a relaxed setting.
Eligibility. To apply, your organisation needs be located within the City of Merri‑bek, registered with the ACNC, and endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). This helps us direct limited places to groups delivering public‑benefit outcomes locally.
How it works. Complete the form below—you’ll receive an automatic email confirming we’ve received your submission. We review all applications against the criteria above and program needs. Successful organisations are notified 28 days before the relevant market date. If we’re oversubscribed, we’ll keep your application on file and may offer a spot at a future market to ensure a fair rotation across groups.
On‑the‑day details. Your site, marquee and one table are provided at no cost. Any additional requirements—such as power, extra tables/chairs, or special equipment—need to be booked and paid for by the organisation. We’ll share bump‑in/out and safety information with confirmed groups ahead of the day.
